Saddened to hear about the passing of Uncle Peter (my Dad’s cousin). I have many happy memories of summer holidays in Warwick staying with my grandparents and visiting Peter & Paula at their home in Beverley Road and mucking about on Peter’s boat at Napton. I last saw Peter at my Mum’s 80th Birthday party. RIP Uncle Peter

Dear Cousin David, with the funeral of Uncle Peter planned for tomorrow, I just wanted to send all my thoughts and prayers to you, Paula and the rest of the family and friends who will be there with you tomorrow. As Paula says "now you're up there..." Pete, I'm sure you'll find a canal with a narrow boat and a good cafe/sweetshop nearby. It will have to stop Bassett's Licquorice Allsorts, Mint Imperials, and Tunnock Bars, all of which you and I consumed many over the years and latterly in the hospital where you and I were told by the nurses it was bad for us, but of course we took no notice! May you eat many more Pete.

So many wonderful memories of the legend that was Uncle Peter to me. From being one of my guardians whilst my parents were overseas to being a surrogate father at the same time. A man who could stop in the middle of nowhere, pull an Ordanance Survey map out and take you on the most fabulous walks. A man whose passion for the canals of Warwickshire and boating, will never be forgotten. As I have said, so many wonderful memories that I will cherish forever. Lots of love Uncle Peter ❤️❤️

Truly heartbroken that he is no longer with us but he can now sleep peacefully and sing and hum til his hearts content in his dreams. Back with Sam and Izzy (his four legged children) hopefully having lots of cuddles.
